The Chaos Emeralds are seven mystical and extremely powerful artifacts from Planet Mobius. They consist of seven diamond cut gemstones, conisting of an emerald, a ruby, a sapphire, a topaz, and amythist, a diamond and an aqua-marine. The Chaos Emeralds are of unknown origin and are incredibly ancient, but have survived for 1'000 of years, and have helped Sonic the Hedgehog countless times to defeat Dr. Eggman and saving Mobius. However, Dr. Eggman has tried countless times to steal the Chaos Emeralds for his own neferious purposes, which Sonic always foils. If Sonic is able to collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds, they will transform him into the mighty Super Sonic, allowing him to combat powerful foes, whether they are Eggman or not.

In Mario & Sonic: Worlds in DangerEdit

The Chaos Emeralds appear in Jmkrebs30's flash series Mario & Sonic: Worlds In Danger, as two of the main plot points of the series, alongside the Crystal Stars. Bowser and Dr. Eggman are trying to collect the Emeralds and Stars in order to merge the Mushroom World and Mobius together to create a galactic evil empire. The heroic Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog are trying to collect the Emeralds and Stars in order to save the two worlds from the two tyrants' rule.
